Make sure your pool fence is in good repair and that your latches are secure and high enough so that children can’t reach them.

We experienced some chilly snaps here in Florida recently, so for those folks who covered up this winter…When you remove your pool cover, check to be sure that it is also still in good shape. Taking care of any necessary repairs now will make your end of season pool prep that much easier.

Next, inspect and test your pool equipment to ensure that everything is working optimally. This step is imperative because, not only can an optimally running swimming pool save energy, but tweaking certain things now may save you some very costly repairs later. Also make certain that you include checking drain covers, ladders and any diving boards or slides for safety prior to pool use.
