Whether you are an adult or child, life can be more entertaining when fun and games are tossed into the mix, especially in the pool! There are the obvious pool game choices, such as Marco Polo and pool volleyball and basketball, but let’s take a deeper dive, shall we?

Have you ever played “hockey” in your swimming pool? All you need is a floating object, like a rubber duck or ping pong ball. Place it in the middle of the pool with teams on either side and splash or make waves. The first team to get the “puck” to the other side is the winner. Amp up the fun with water guns if you dare!

You can also use ping pong balls for a rousing game of ping pong panic. Just drop a bunch of ping pong balls in and then try to keep out of their way. If a ball touches you, you lose.

Did you know a plastic bottle filled with water becomes virtually invisible when it sinks to the bottom of the pool? Hide that before everyone arrives and the hunt is on!

Up the ante with a treasure hunt by tossing change into the pool so that kids can compete to see who can collect the most.

Or create an obstacle course with pool noodles for jumping over, hula hoops for swimming through, basketball nets for taking a shot and pool floats for boarding and paddling across the pool.

There are even waterproof playing cards for any pool card game you choose…and here’s a tip…Just turn a Frisbee upside down and lay it on the surface of the water for the perfect card table. There are floating checkers too!
